Best Seats For a Concert at Allstate Arena

The most common seating layout at Allstate Arena for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 105, Section 106 and Section 107. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.

On the Floor: Sections Floor 1, Floor 2, Floor 3 and Floor 4 are Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.

To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 102, Section 103 and Section 110. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.

Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 114, Section 115, Section 214 and Section 215 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.

Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.

Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets

Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 105, Section 106, Section 107 and Section 108. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.

If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.

Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 101 and 112 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 203 and 210.

Other Popular Seating Areas

  • Lower Level Corner (Concert) Seating

Lower level corner seats are usually some of the last seats to go in the 100 level at Allstate Arena, but also some of the lowest priced. If you want a 100 level view, but can sacrifice some of the proximity for price, these are great seats to look at.

Both sections 113 and 116 have double lettered rows (AA-CC) located just off the floor. These seats are temporary and are a little less bulky compared to the permanent ones in rows A-S. Permanent seats will also feature cup holders for convenience.

Due to the angle, there can be anywhere between 12-30 seats in a row with the higher seat numbers being on the left side of the section when looking at the stage.

  • Lower Level End (Concert) Seating

Sections 114 and 115 make up the lower level end sections. No need to turn your body to see the stage in these seats since they will directly look at the stage for any end stage show. Another aspect of sitting here is their elevation above the floor. The section starts several feet off the main floor, clearing you of the mix and anyone on the floor.

Both sections are on the smaller side with 15 rows (A-P) with around 30 seats in each row. The seat numbers will get higher as you move to your left in both sections. If you find yourself with a ticket in row AA or BB, these seats are located just off the floor and don't have the same elevation as the rest of the section.

With Allstate Arena being on the smaller side for an arena concert, these are some of the furthest away from the stage. Some of the 200 level sections can rival these seats for proximity depending on which row you are in.

  • Lower Level Side (Concert) Seating

Sections 103 and 110 are home to some of the best seats for a traditional end stage performance at Allstate Arena thanks to close proximity to the stage, good viewing height above floor level, and a clear line of sight to the center of the action. To be closest to the typical end stage here, you will want to either be in the higher numbered seats of section 103 (most rows have 28 to 30 seats), or the lower numbered seats of section 110.

For those looking to get as close as possible for a traditional stage layout, sections 104 and 109 are options to consider but fans should be prepared for an extreme side angle view from the majority of seats. To avoid the most difficult views, opt for the lower numbered seats in section 104, or the higher numbered seats in section 109.

Most lower level side sections feature double lettered rows at the very front, followed by single lettered rows above. Sections 104 and 109 are the exceptions during a traditional end stage layout, as they do not extend as far to the floor and begin have single lettered rows only.

Entry tunnels are located at the top of the sections, leaving the shortest walks to and from the concourse for those seated in rows J and higher.

  • Upper Level Corner (Concert) Seating

Corner sections 213 and 216 are very large sections that take up the entire corner. Luckily they are each split up by two aisles dividing the large section into 3 much smaller sections.

The seats in the middle portion of both sections are from 21-47 going from right to left. Any seat number lower that 21 will be on the right half of the section and anything above 47 will be on the left.

The only obstructions in the entire arena to be aware of are in sections 213 where an American Flag hangs above. For this reason we suggest avoiding rows Q or higher if possible.

  • Upper Level End (Concert) Seating

End sections in the Upper Level are labeled 214 and 215 and have the most rows of any section at Allstate Arena. These sections also hold 36 seats in most rows creating tough situations for those who need to use the restrooms or grab some concessions.

The views from these sections are still good. There is not a concern for obstructed views and there is a nice bar option located just behind the seats.

  • Upper Level Side (Concert) Seating

If you have a tighter budget, but want to stay close to the performance for a traditional end stage show, sections 203 and 210 are excellent options to consider.

In section 203, the higher numbered seats put you closer to the stage, while the lower numbered seats are a bit further but providing a better line of sight to the center of the action. Conversely, the lower numbered seats of section 210 are closer to the stage, while the higher numbered seats have the better viewing angles.

We recommend being cautious when considering section 204 and 209 for a performance featuring a traditional end stage configuration, as you mostly find side angle views. However if you can find seats 1-2 in section 204 or seats 32-33 in section 209, you will be on the aisle closer to the front of the stage (rather than closer to the back of the stage) with the best potential views from these sections.

Most seating rows on the upper level side sections are fairly large, featuring between 32 to 33 seats in each. Therefore, if you prefer an easier more convenient route to and from the seats, we recommend sticking to the seat numbers closest to the aisles.
