Shiver is the third boss of Hero Mode, and her fight is unlocked by unlocking the Stage The Pursuit of the Precious, which is found in the site Landfill Dreamland. After entering the stage and watching a series of cutscenes, the fight with Shiver will begin.
How to Beat Shiver
How to Beat Shiver |
1.Keep your focus on Shiver's megalodon and wait for it to attack. |
2. When you see the megalodon open its mouth, throw Smallfry into it. |
3. A successful toss will stun the megalodon. Ink it as much as you can when it washes up on the stage before it goes back into the water. |
4. Stunning and inking the megalodon twice will cause Shiver to fall off, making her vulnerable to attacks. Ink her 3 times to win the fight. |
Shiver's Attacks |
Shiver's Megalodon will briefly stop and do a flip, causing a blade of ink with a trail to span across the stage. This can be easily dodged in swim mode. |
Shiver will ride her Megalodon to the center of the stage and try to bite you from below. You can try to toss Smallfry into its mouth to stun it if you successfully dodge the attack. |
The megalodon will try to briefly pause the charge towards you with its mouth open. Rather than dodging, it is recommended that you prepare Smallfry when you see this attack so that you can toss it in the megalodon's mouth. |
Shiver will summon 3 whirlpools which she will use to jump around the stage. After jumping twice her megalodon will fire a beam at you. Although the moment is brief, you can toss Smallfry into its mouth when it opens. |
Shiver Boss Fight Tips
Ink A Large Portion of the Stage
The stage for Shiver's boss battle is rather small, which can make movement somewhat difficult. Properly inking the stage makes Shiver's attacks much easier to dodge.
Stay Focused on Shiver
While Shiver has a variety of attacks, all of them are easily avoidable if you keep her eyes on her megalodon. If you continue to focus on Shiver and make sure that the arena is well-inked, you can win this fight without taking any damage.
Watch the Megalodon's Mouth
All except one of the megalodon's attacks will begin with it opening its mouth, making it possible for you to toss Smallfry into it and interrupt the attack. Although some moves have a higher risk if your toss misses, playing aggressively during this fight can not only reduce the damage you receive, but also finish the fight much quicker.
When You Should Toss Smallfry
Shiver's Attack | Degree of risk Recommended Strategy |
When Shiver rushes you from outside the stage | Low Wait for Shiver's megalodon to get close before tossing Smallfry. |
When Shiver tries to bite you from below | Medium Use swim mode to quickly dodge, then quickly toss Smallfry. |
When Shiver attacks you from her whirlpools | HIghWait for the brief moment when the megalodon opens it mouth to fire the beam, then quickly toss Smallfry. |

Re-enter the Stage The Pursuit of the Precious
